Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 24 (Part), South Wraxall; from its junction with Footpath 8A, Bradford on Avon for a distance of approximately 600 metres in a notherly direction to enable construction of four new holes for a golf course. Alternative route: via an alternative route will be provided around the field edges to the East of the definitive line. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 28 December 2020 and the closure will be required for 06 months. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative route: via the access road to the Melksham Town Rugby and Football clubs before entering the field and following the field edge until it re-joins footpath MELW18. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 21 December 2020 and the closure will be required for 06 months. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 06 months.
