The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Gorelands Lane, Chalfont St Giles in the Parish of Chalfont St. Giles CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2020 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Gorelands Lane from Deadhern Lane for approximately 365m. Alternative route: Nightingales Lane, Deadhearn Lane and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach ducting works take place commencing on 6 January 2021 between 09:00 and 18:00. The closure is required whilst works to install a new high voltage electrical cable take place commencing on 11 January 2021 for 40 days. The alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be via Longwood Lane, Hundred Acres Lane, Acres End and Stanley Hill Avenue and vice versa.
