30 Mph Speed Limit, Various Roads, East Layton, Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that on 15/12/20 North Yorkshire County Council made an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 miles per hour on any length of road at East Layton specified. Main Village Road, from a point 120 metres west of its junction with the west side of the road leading to the quarry haul road (measured along the southern kerbline), eastwards to a point 340 metres south east of its junction with the road leading northwards towards Forcett (measured along the northern kerbline); Limekiln Lane, from its junction with the main village street, northwards for a distance of 78 metres (measured along the eastern kerbline); Road Leading to Quarry Haul Road, from its junction with the main village street, southwards for a distance of 22 metres (measured along the eastern kerbline); Moor Lane, from its junction with the main village street, southwards for a distance of 56 metres (measured along the eastern kerbline); Road Leading Northwards to Forcett, from its junction with the main village street, northwards to a point 88 metres north of its junction with the northern side of Forcett Close (measured along the western kerbline); Forcett Close & The Ford in their entirity. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 21/12/20, may be examined at The Court House Reception, County Hall, Northallerton during normal office hours from 18/12/20 until 26/01/21 and also viewed online at
