Variation of Fees for Vehicle and Operator Licences
Southampton City Council, as licensing authority for hackney carriages, private hire vehicles and private hire operators in Southampton, hereby gives notice that it proposes to vary the fees for the grant and renewal of vehicle and operator licences as follows:

Private Hire Vehicle (annual)
- last revised December 2018
Grant or renewal £120 £80
Grant of Licence for a period of 6 months or less due to plate allocation policy  £80 £60
Private Hire Operator (maximum five years)
- last revised December 2018 to remain the same as below
Grant or renewal £700 (five years) £700 (five years)
Exceptionally, for lesser periods:  
 up to one year £235 £235.00
 up to two years £355 £355.00
 up to three years £470 £470.00
 up to four years £585 £585.00
A copy of this notice will be available for public inspection at The Licensing Office, Civic Centre, Southampton SO14 7LY for a period of twenty-eight days commencing on 14th December 2020
Any person wishing to object to these proposals must do so in writing by 12th January 2021 to:

Any objections made will be in the public domain and may be published by the city council.
If no objections are made or those made are withdrawn before the expiry of this notice, the varied fees above will come into effect on 12th January 2021.
Southampton City Council also gives notice that it intends to vary the following fees, which are not subject to public consultation, with immediate effect:
