NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 11 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT: Land at Brighton Marina comprising the Outer Harbour, West Quay and adjoining land
Take notice that an application under section 73 of the Town and Country Planning Act (1990) is being made by: Brunswick Developments Group Plc To Brighton and Hove City Council City Council for planning permission for the following:
'Application for variation of condition 1 of permission BH2012/040484 (Major mixed use development comprising new engineered basement structure to create platform on Spending Beach and West Quay, 853 residential units in 11 buildings ranging from 6-40 storeys, Class A, D1, D2 and B1 uses, Lifeboat Station, 496 parking spaces, alterations to pontoons and moorings, new bridges, informal and formal recreation space and alterations to access arrangements) to allow revisions to basement structures over Spending Beach and West Quay with associated landscaping and engineering works to accommodate revised car parking layout. Total number of car parking spaces and main access point to remain unchanged.
And approval of amended drawings including the following changes;
? Building envelope of Buildings F1 and F2 enlarged on the eastern facade. Building F1 also enlarged on the northern facade;
? Relocation of services / plant / cycle spaces to basement level;
? Residential cores rationalised and entrance cores relocated to east facade;
? Additional stair located between Basement B-01 and podium;
? Floor to floor heights rationalised. Promenade level floor to ceiling height increased;
? Relocation of three residential units to level 1 of Building F2 from Blocks H1, H2 and H3. No change to the overall number of residential units;
? Redesign of the Performing Arts area to the north of Building F1;
? Ramp added between Blocks D1 and F1;
? Existing ramp from road extended and steps added at south west corner;
? Elevational changes to the approved RNLI building;
? Amendment to the access to the car park;
? Ramp added to B-01 between Buildings F1 and F2 car park;
? Three parking spaces to be relocated to Spending Beach; and
? Promenade level divided into seven retail units for Class A3 use'
Any owner of the land or tenant who wishes to make representations about this application, should write to Development Control Team, City Services Directorate, Brighton & Hove City Council, Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove BN3 3BQ within 21 days of the date of the publication of this notice. Statement of owners' rights: The grant of planning permission does not affect owners' rights to retain or dispose of their property, unless there is some provision to the contrary in an agreement or lease. Statement of agricultural tenants' rights: The grant of planning permission for non-agricultural development may affect agricultural tenants' security of tenure.
'Owner' means a person having a freehold interest or a leasehold interest the unexpired term of which is not less than seven years. 'Tenant' means a tenant of an agricultural holding any part of which is comprised in the land.
