CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2).
(1) WIGGINTON FOOTPATH NO. 2. WIGGINTON This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding along that length of Wigginton Footpath No.2, Wigginton between The Village and the projected western property boundary line of No. 21 St Mary's Close (closed footpath) during the period when footpath maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 17th day of December 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 16th day of May 2021 (works period) or on a date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will be progressed that in two phases during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(2) FIELD VIEW. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Field View Allotment Access Road, York between its junction with Wigginton Road and a point 75 metres south west of the junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 4th day of January 2021 and ending at 2400hrs on the 12th day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when traffic signal improvement works being undertaken nearby have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted vehicles will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
