THE A2 GLA ROAD (NEW CROSS ROAD, LONDON BOROUGH OF LEWISHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND STOPPING) ORDER 2020
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable resurfacing works to take place on New Cross Road.
3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, exiting, proceeding or stopping on New Cross Road between llderton Road and Lewisham Way.

The Order will also permit two-way operation on Besson Street between Briant Street and New Cross Road, Hatcham Park Road between New Cross Road, Kender Street between Romney Close and New Cross Road and Camplin Street and Clifton Rise between New Cross Road and Batavia Road.
The Order will be effective at certain times between 3rd December 2020 until the 31 st May 2021 every night 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

At such times as the prohibitions are in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via Amersham Road (westbound diversion only), Lewisham Way, Loampit Hill, Loampit Vale, Rennell Street, Molesworth Street, Lewisham High Street, Rushey Green, Brownhill Road, Plassey Road, Catford Road, Stanstead Road, Sunderland Road, Waldram Park Road, Waldram Crescent, Devonshire Road, London Road, Lordship Lane, Dulwich Common, Thurlow Park Road, Tulse Hill, Christchurch Road, Streatham Place, Atkins Road, Poynders Road, Cavendish Road, Clapham Common South Side, Clapham High Street, Clapham Road, Kennington Park Road, Newington Butts, Elephant and Castle, New Kent Road, Bricklayers Arms Flyover, Old Kent Road or reverse and return to normal route of travel.
