Temporary Closure of Ware Lane, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WARE LANE, LYME REGIS from the County Boundary to Ware Cottage, a distance of approximately 165 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 1 December 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 December 2020. This Order will enable Western Power Distribution, safe access to provide new electricity supply upgrade scheme for eco car chargers and solar panels in Ware Lane.
An alternative route will be signed using: Ware Lane - A3052 - Sidmouth Road -Ware Lane.

Notice of Application to Stop Up Highway at Cliff House, Old Lyme Road, Charmouth, Bridport, Dorset
At 2:00pm on 21 January 2021 the Council as Highway Authority for the County of Dorset intends to apply to the Dorset Magistrates' Court sitting at Weymouth Magistrates' Court, the Law Courts, Westway Road, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 8BS for an application under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of this Order, if made, will be to stop up public highway rights over a section of highway at Cliff House, Old Lyme Road, Charmouth, Bridport, Dorset. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, it is not possible for Dorset Council to have documents on deposit for people to view at County Hall.
