Temporary Closure of Footpath 17 (Sheps Hollow), Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along part of Footpath 17 from grid reference SZ 033 804 to grid reference SZ 034 804, a distance of approximately 30 metres. The Order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. This Order will extend the existing closure for a further six months (until Saturday 29 May 2021).
This closure is needed due to the landslip making the steps and boardwalk unstable.
