(20mph Zone) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph zone on the following lengths of roads (Limebrook Park East Development), Maldon in the District of Maldon:
Road Description
Gladiator Close, Maldon For its entire length.
Lincoln Way, Maldon For its entire length.
Hereford Place, Maldon For its entire length.
Meteor Drive, Maldon For its entire length.
Defiant Drive, Maldon For its entire length.
Anson Close, Maldon For its entire length.
Sunderland Avenue, Maldon From a point approximately 12 metres west of its junction with Fambridge Road, for its entire remaining length.
Lancaster Avenue, Maldon From a point approximately 12 metres north-west of its junction with Fambridge Road, for its entire remaining length.
Spitfire Road, Maldon For its entire length.
Whitley Place, Maldon For its entire length.
Stirling Close, Maldon For its entire length.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 23rd November 2020.

Application to the high court Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Bradwell Road, Tillingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bradwell Road, Tillingham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 85m south west of its junction with Mark Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a westerly then southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th December 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS319123B - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Bradwell Road, North Street, South Street, Southminster Road, Tillingham Road, Cripplegate, North End, High Street, Pantile Hill, Queen Street, Scotts Hill, Southfield Way, Main Road, Burnham Road, Steeple Road, Maldon Road, Gospel Corner, Chapel Corner, The Street, West Newlands Farm, West Of Black House Farm, Motts Farm Stone Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Edwins Hall Road, Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Edwins Hall Road, Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford from its junction with Main Road to its junction with Crows Lane a distance of approximately 1560m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS134805 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Edwins Hall Road, Crows Lane, Charity Farm Lane, Hollands Lane, Main Road, The Street and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 26th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lea Lane, Little Braxted/Great Braxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lea Lane, Little Braxted/Great Braxted in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 35m north of the junction with Old School Lane for a distance of approximately 160m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th December 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS97156 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Lea Lane, Braxted Park Road, Tiptree Road, Braxted Road, Beacons Lane, Beacon Hill, Kelvedon Road, Heath Lane, Witham Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stow Road, Cold Norton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stow Road, Cold Norton in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Hagg Hill for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30095539349 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Fambridge Road, Lower Burnham Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Woodyards, Bradwell-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodyards, Bradwell-on-Sea in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Waterside Road to both junctions with High Street a distance of approximately 630m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2020 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC112KN-BRADSEAV5004-ES1 -BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct installation works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Downhall Road, Trusses Road, Waterside Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Little Totham Road, Goldhanger) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Totham Road, Goldhanger in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 405m northwest then north of its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a northerly then northwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th November 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30071166325 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement and overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Beckingham Street, Mill Lane, Tolleshunt D'arcy Road, Beckingham Road, Maldon Road, Goldhanger Road, Church Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.6) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Maldon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Areas) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12th November 2020 exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
