(A701 Crook Inn) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020
The Scottish Borders Council (A701 Crook Inn) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 16 November 2020 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A701 at the Crook Inn, north of Tweedsmuir. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A701, A72, A702, B7076, B719and A701 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
