SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR ROAD/ FOOTPATH CLOSURES AND TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice Is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make following temporary orders: (STR0000109 Marlborough Road, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow for traffic light signal works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Marlborugh Road between Commonhead and Coate Roundabouts at a speed exceed 40mph. The Order will be effective from the 15 February 2021 for 6 months but it is expected the works be carried out on the 15 February to 26 March 2021. (STR000114 Tadpolo Lane, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow for resurfacing works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Tadpole Lane between Green Street and William Morris Way. Traffic to be diverted via Green Street and William Morris Way.
The Order will be effective from the 22 November 2020 for 6 months but it anticipated the works will be carried out overnight on the 22 November 2020 between the times of 9am to 2pm.
(TTRO 2954 Footpath 5 South Marston) This Order was introduced to allow for development works and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along Footpath 5 South Marston from the A420 Oxford Road at Gablecross to River Cole. No Alternative Route available. The Order came into force on the 25 April 2019 for 6 months however authorization from the Secretary of State for Transport has been granted to allow the Order to remain in force for a further 6 months up to 25 April 2021 or until works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
