Temporary Closure of Ware Lane, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WARE LANE, LYME REGIS from the County boundary to Ware Cottage, a distance of approximately 165 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 1 December 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 December 2020.
This Order will enable Western Power Distribution, safe access to provide new electricity supply upgrade scheme for eco car chargers and solar panels in Ware Lane. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Ware Lane - A3052 - Sidmouth Road - Ware Lane.
