Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No 130, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpath No 130, Weymouth from grid reference SY 663 786 to grid reference SY 662 784, a distance of approximately 380 metres. The reverse route applies. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users It will come into operation on 16 November 2020 for a period of 26 weeks. This order can be extended beyond 26 weeks with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Temporary Traffic Management Order of Alington Street & High West Street, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along ALINGTON STREET, DORCHESTER and prohibited from parking on High West Street. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 November 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 December 2020. This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas mains replacement. The following temporary restrictions will be in place as indicated by signs on site; [1] Alington Street from its junction with High West Street for a distance of 30 metres will be closed.
[2] High West Street between nos. 48 & 56, parking bays to be suspended to facilitate temporary traffic signals.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed for Alington Street using: High West Street - Albert Road - Princes Street.

Temporary Closure of Bridport Road (Poundbury), Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BRIDPORT ROAD (POUNDBURY), DORCHESTER between its junctions with Middle Farm Way, a distance of approximately 810 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 16 November 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 March 2021. This Order will enable Hansford Construction, safe access to carry out works to adopted highway.
An alternative route will be signed using: Middle Farm Way.
