BOWES MOOR COMMON Organisation Highways England has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006/section 23(2) of the National Trust Act 1971 to carry out restricted work on Bowes Moor Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State. The proposed work is to create a turning circle on the A66. The area it will cover is 345 square metres (area) and 86 metres (length). The work will be located around:
