TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A1089 Trunk Road in the Unitary Authority of Thurrock, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure of the road connecting the northbound carriageway of the A1089 to the eastbound carriageway of the A13 Trunk Road at Baker Street Interchange (A13). This measure is in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of the Lower Thames Crossing Project undertake ground and other surveys, and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 5 weeks starting on or after Monday 2nd November 2020. The overnight closures will take place between 21:00 and 05:00 on weekdays. The Order will come into force on 31 October 2020 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closure will be diverted westbound on the A13 to Stifford Interchange (A1012) and return.
The temporary closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
