Temporary Closure Of Various Roads, West Moors
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, West Moors as listed below:
[i] Summercroft Way from the junction with Moorlands Road to the junction with Glenwood Way; [ii] Glenwood Way from its junction with Glenwood Road in its entirety; [iii] Glenwood Close from its junction with Glenwood Way. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It came into operation on 14th October 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22nd October 2020. The road will be open outside of these times and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above. Even though the dates above coincide, only one road will be closed at any one time. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Lane Closure And 30mph Speed Limit-A35, Upton Bypass
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
The Order will come into operation on 02nd November 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23rd November 2020.
The effect of the Order is to impose a temporary 30mph speed limit on both dual carriageways of the A35, Upton bypass, between the Bakers Arms Roundabout and a point approximately 700 metres to the east. At the same time, one lane on each carriageway will be closed to enable Dorset Council to carry out maintenance works to the culverts under the road. Please note that it is proposed that only one side of the dual carriageway will be worked on at any one time.
