Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Wallingford, Footpath M 27 & 28 Date of Order: 26 October 2020 Coming into force: 1 November 2020 This Order is being introduced because of footpath improvement works which are anticipated to take 1 month to complete. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpaths No.27 & 28 between Brightwell-cum Sotwell and CalvinThomas Way to Fir Tree Avenue. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Proposed diversion route for four stages of closure are via Fir Tree Avenue -Footpath 16 - Wantage Road - Footpath 16 - Brightwell-cum-Sotwell and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. (VARIOUS ROADS FARINGDON) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders, in response to commercial development in Faringdon is to introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' (double yellow lines) parking prohibition along both sides of Henry Blake Way for 125 metres from its junction with the A417 Park Road. The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads Faringdon) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1982 will be further amended accordingly.
