GROVE GREEN ROAD REGION - PART-TIME LEFT-TURN BANS (E11 ROADS)
The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Grove Green Road Region) (No. 1) Traffic Order 2020
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) on 8th October 2020 made the above-mentioned Traffic Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be to continue indefinitely the provisions of:
(a) The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Canberra Path No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2019 which byway of an experiment:
(i) prevented motor vehicles entering (except cycles) Canberra Path E10 where entry to that road is prohibited by a no-entry sign plate situated at its junction with Whitney Road E10; and
(ii) prohibited vehicular traffic travelling southbound in Melbourne Road E10, from turning right into Canberra Path E10 at any time; and
(b) The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Grove Green Road Region) (No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2019 and The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Grove Green Road Region) (No. 1) (Modification No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2019 (as modified) which by way of an experiment between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm every day of the week, inclusive prohibited vehicular traffic (except cyclists) travelling:
(i) eastbound in Grove Green Road E11 from turning left into Scarborough Road E11;
(ii) northbound in Southwest Road E11 from turning left into Avebury Road E11; and
(iii) eastbound in Grove Green Road E11 from turning left into Southwest Road E11
More specific details of the above-mentioned provisions are contained in the notice of making of the original experimental traffic orders as advertised in Waltham Forest News issue 224 dated 8th April 2019 (as modified 30th July 2019 by public notice) and Issue 225 dated 29th April 2019 2019 (as modified 30th July 2019 by public notice)
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 8th October 2020 and all other relevant documents can be inspected on request by emailing
during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from that date.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
