ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
THE M6 MOTORWAY (NORTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY - JUNCTION 39-40) [TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC] ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made an Order on the M6 Motorway, in the District of Eden, in the County of Cumbria, to enable patching works and other general maintenance; to be carried out in safety.
The Order will impose a 50 mph speed limit on all traffic on the northbound carriageway of the M6 Motorway, from a point 293 metres north of Emperors Drive Bridge, to a point 534 metres south of Tinklers Lane Bridge. The restriction is expected to be in place during a continuous period starting at 20:00 on Saturday 3 October 2020 and ending at 06:00 on Saturday 10 October 2020. However, works may start and continue beyond these dates until completed.
The restriction will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles, and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
