Publicity for applications for planning permission, Notice under Article 15 (1 A) of application for planning permission accompanied by an Environmental Statement, Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015 (as amended). The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017, The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure, Listed Buildings and Environmental Impact Assessment) (England) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020, Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, The Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

Applicant: Power Generation (Midlands) Ltd
Proposal: Proposed development of an Energy and Resource Park
Location: Land to the rear (south and east) of Liberty Aluminium Foundry, Stourport Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY11 7QE.
I give notice that Power Generation (Midlands) Ltd is applying to Worcestershire County Council for planning permission for the above proposal. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The development may affect the setting of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal Conservation Area and Listed Buildings. The applicant is seeking planning permission to develop an Energy and Resource Park, which would comprise: An Energy Centre; a Plastics Recovery Plant; an Electrical Substation; a new internal road system and improved access arrangements; and landscaping including the reprofiling of the existing bund. The Energy Centre would consist of two elements: The Fuel Store which would receive and store the materials prior to processing; and the Energy Plant which would combust the material to produce energy and heat. The proposed Energy Centre would have capacity to process approximately 75,000 tonnes per annum of non-hazardous residual waste materials. The proposed Plastics Recovery Plant would process approximately 30,000 tonnes per annum of plastic waste.
