Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Newman Road (Part), Devizes; from its junction with Byron Road to its junction with The Mews to enable Bus gate bollard to be fixed. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This notice which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 22 September 2020 and it will be required until new enforcement solution is in place. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to: Close temporarily to all motor vehicles except for access: Monkton Hill, Chippenham; from its junction with Station Hill to its junction with St Mary's Place. St Mary's Place, Chippenham; From its junction with Monkton Hill to its junction with New Road. Close temporarily to all motor vehicles: Monkton Hill, Chippenham; from its junction with St. Mary's Place to its junction with Monkton Park (Witlshire Council Offices) And to temporarily implement a prohibition of entry (except for cycles): Monkton Hill, Chippenham; from its junction with Monkton Park (Wiltshire Council offices) to a point 10 metres in a northly direction. And to temporarily suspend the existing One-Way Order on Monkton Hill to facilitate a traffic free street. And to temporary implement one-way restriction allowing north to south bound traffic only on Monkton Hill between its junction with Station Hill and St Mary's Place to enable a traffic free street. The restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 25 September 2020 and the closure will be required until 01 March 2022. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
