THE M606 MOTORWAY AND THE M62 MOTORWAY (CHAIN BAR TO STAYGATE) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M606 Motorway and the M62 Motorway, in the Districts of Kirklees, Leeds and Bradford, to enable testing of lighting columns and routine and cyclic maintenance works to be earned out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 12 October 2020 for 1 month, or until completed, and will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the:
that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M606 Motorway and the M62 Motorway, in the Districts of Kirklees, Leeds and Bradford, to enable testing of lighting columns and routine and cyclic maintenance works to be earned out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 12 October 2020 for 1 month, or until completed, and will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the:
(i) M606 northbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Staygate (Junction 1) to its junction with the A6177 Chase Way, a distance of 550 metres;

(ii) link road connecting the M62 eastbound carriageway with the M606 northbound carriageway at Chain Bar (M62 Junction 26 and the M606 Junction 1);

(iii) M62 eastbound exit and entry slip roads at Chain Bar;

(iv) link road connecting the M606 southbound carriageway with the M62 eastbound carriageway at Chain Bar;

(v) M606 northbound entry slip road at Chain Bar;

(vi) M606 northbound exit and southbound exit and entry slip roads at Euroway (Junction 2); and

(vii) M606 northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at Staygate.

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
