MARK HILL SUBSTATION EXTENSION PROPOSAL
Notice ID: GRE1843560
MARK HILL SUBSTATION EXTENSION PROPOSAL PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Scottish Power Energy Networks is
publicising its proposals to extend the operational Mark Hill Substation, located to the north of Barrhill. This is a follow-up to the public consultation that originally took place in May 2019. Since then, the proposed substation extension has been redesigned to increase its capacity in order to accommodate additional, contracted renewable energy from the surrounding area. We wish to update the public on the changes to the proposal and consult once again with the community. In line with current Scottish Government guidelines, and with the community's safety in mind, we will not be holding a public exhibition, but will instead be providing information pertaining to the proposal online. We would like to invite everyone to view the information on our website (below); opportunities to ask questions and comment will also be available on our website, via email or telephone.
Public consultation will take place online at
pages/mark_hill_substation_extension_ pre_application_consultation.aspx. Project information will be available to view 24/7 from 9am on 21 September 2020 to 5pm on 19 October 2020.
Further information on the proposed development may be obtained online at website (above), and through the means identified below.
Anyone wishing to request information or comment on the proposed development may do so until 19 October 2020 by completing an online feedback form/questionnaire to be made available at website (above), or alternatively by telephone (0800 488 0327), post (Land and Planning, Mark Hill Substation Extension, 55 Fullarton Drive, Glasgow G32 8FA); or email (markhill2020@
