The said closure is required due to flood alleviation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 14th of September 2020 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 7 weeks.
