Temporary Parking Restriction, Old Castle Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order Is needed In order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 16 September 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31st March 2021. This Order will enable Dorset Council to introduce a parking restriction due to safety concerns associated with a landslip and traffic management. The effect of this Order is as follows:
[1] To impose a temporary parking restriction from approximately 62c Old Castle Road to a location approximately opposite 66 Old Castle Road, a distance of approximately 60 metres. The restriction will be in operation 24 hours a day and will be in operation as and when indicated by the traffic signs on site. Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No. 130, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along footpath No 130, from grid reference SY 663 786 to grid reference SY 662 784 a distance of approximately 380 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 1 October 2020 for a period of 6 months. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required to allow construction of domestic housing. There will be a locally signed diversion.

Temporary Closure of Water Lane, Winfrith Newburgh
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WATER LANE, WINFRITH NEWBURGH between its junctions with the A352 and the vehicular entrance to Portway Farm (in both directions), a distance of approximately 95 metres. The Order is needed to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14th September 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11th October 2020.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to repair and extend a damaged retaining structure in the stream which supports the carriageway.
A locally signed diversion route, via West Lulworth and Wool, will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011, (Experimental Order) Hamm Beach Road -Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting
Dorset Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 9,10 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Office of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby makes the following Order: Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
The Order will come into operation on 18 September 2020 and will introduce no waiting at anytime restrictions on lengths of Hamm Beach Road, Portland. The reasons for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council consider whether the provisions of the experimental Traffic Order shall continue in force indefinitely Full details of this proposal are contained in the Draft Order which, together with plans showing the lengths of roads affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order can be viewed.
