NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
THE DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY FOR THE COUNTY OF LANCASHIRE
PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY (DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION) LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL DELETION OF PART OF FOOTPATH
OSWALDTWISTLE 287 AND ADDITION OF A FOOTPATH ALONG
CHAPEL STREET, BELTHORN (DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION) ORDER 2020.
On the 26th May 2020 Lancashire County Council confirmed the above Order. The effect of the Order, as confirmed without modification, is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by deleting part of Footpath Oswaldtwistle 287 through 186 Belthorn Road, shown between points A-B on the Order plan and adding a footpath from Belthorn Road along Chapel Street to a point on Footpath Oswaldtwistle 287 as shown on the Order plan between points C-B.

A copy of the Order, as confirmed, and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at Accrington Library from 09:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:00 Monday to Saturday. Copies of the Order and Order Map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.

The Order took effect on the 27th April 2020, but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may, under Paragraph 11 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
