EXPERIMENTAL LOADING RESTRICTIONS -GALSWORTHY ROAD, KINGSTON (REF. KINGMAP0024)
The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 34) Order 2020 and The Kingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 34) Order 2020.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 7th September 2020 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6,45,46,49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders, which will come into force on 14th September 2020, will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 6) Experimental Order 2019 and The Kingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 6) Experimental Order 2019 which;
(a) introduced loading restrictions (to apply between 7 a.m. & 7 p.m.) throughout Galsworthy Road; and
(b) altered lengths of existing double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions in Galsworthy Road due to the re-location of; a bus stop (on the east side); and a pedestrian crossing (adjacent to "Badminton" & "Forsyte Court").
3. Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders (made documents) cannot currently be inspected at Guildhall 2. However, in line with guidance from the Department for Transport, the following alternative arrangements have been made until 19th October 2020;
(a) the made documents can be inspected online at
. kingston.gov.uk/downloads/200318/traffic_management_orders; and
(b) copies of the made documents can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays) or by emailing

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 19th October 2020.
