A1010 (HIGH STREET-PONDERS END, FORE STREET-EDMONTON, THE GREEN-EDMONTON, THE BROADWAY-EDMONTON AND HERTFORD ROAD-EDMONTON) - DISABLED BAYS, A LOADING BAY, A FREE PARKING PLACE, PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING PLACES, 'AT ANY TIME' WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS & '7AM to 10 AM AND 4PM TO 7PM MONDAY TO SATURDAY' WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) on 2 September 2020 made the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. 188) Traffic Order 2020, the Enfield (Prescribed Routes) (No. 7) Traffic Order 2020, the Enfield (Free Parking Place) (Disabled Persons) (No. 3) Traffic Order 2020, the Enfield (Parking Places)(Pay and Display)(No. 6) Traffic Order 2020, the Enfield (Goods Vehicles Loading Bay)(No.5)Tratfic Order 2020 and The Enfield (Stop and Shop Parking Places)(No. 2) Traffic Order 2020 under sections 6, 45, 46 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Orders make permanent the provisions of the six experimental orders advertised in a Notice dated 27 March 2019.

NOTE: [This notice supersedes the notice of the same title published on 2 September 2020 which contained typographical errors which have now been corrected.]
2. The general effect of the Orders, which come into operation on 9th September 2020, would be to permanently:

(A) to introduce "At any time" Waiting and Loading restrictions on the Hertford Road Edmonton, Fore Street Edmonton, High Street Ponders End, The Green Edmonton and The Broadway Edmonton except in the sections of Fore Street Edmonton listed in para. (B) below;

(B) to introduce "7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday" Waiting and Loading restrictions on sections of Fore Street N18;

(C) to introduce a one-way street, eastbound, in Rosemary Avenue N9 from its junction with Hertford Road, Edmonton to its junction with Kingsmead Avenue N9 and 'At any time' waiting restrictions on the north side of Rosemary Avenue N9;

(D) to introduce two disabled parking places on Hertford Road, Edmonton;

(E) to introduce a Goods Vehicles Loading Bay on the east side of Hertford Road Edmonton, south of Nightingale Road;

(F) to introduce Pay and Display Parking Places to operate Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm on both sides of King Edwards Road near its junction with Hertford Road Edmonton with charges as detailed in the table below;

(G) to introduce a Free Parking Place to operate Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm with free parking for up to 15 minutes on Hertford Road Edmonton south of its junction with King Edwards Road.
3. Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic the made orders and plans cannot currently be inspected at the Civic Centre. However, in line with guidance from the Department for Transport, the following alterative arrangements have been made:

a) The made orders and plans can be inspected online at:

b) Copies of the made orders and plans can also be obtained by calling 020 8132 0989, by emailing traffic@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic & Transportation (quoting reference TG52/1327), Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
