TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along
Temporary Road Closures:
SM01 - Bonson Road in the parish of Fiddington; from the junction with Fiddington Road to the junction with Road to Hinkley Point, a distance of 3314m.
SM02 - Spaxton Road and Merridge Hill in the parish of Spaxton; Spaxton Road from the junction with Enmore Road to Merridge Hill, junction with Bush Road, for a total distance of 3049m.
SM04 - Ford Lane in the parish of Stawell; from the junction with Stawell Road to 15m from the junction with A39 Bath Road, a distance of 1150m.
SM05- Norman Lane in the parish of Ashcott; from the junction with the A39 Bath Road to the junction with Middle Street, a distance of 280m.
SM07- Rhode Lane and Durleigh Hill in the parish of Durleigh; from the junction with Road between Woolmersdon and Rhode to the junction with Enmore Road, a distance of 2033m.
SM08 - Knotcroft Lane in the parish of Thurioxton; from the junction with A38 Taunton Road to the junction with Mill Lane, a distance of 780m.
SM09 - Mill Lane in the parish of Thurioxton; from the junction with Boez Lane to the junction with Knotcroft Lane, a distance of 250m.
SM10 - B3139 Mark Road in the parish of Burnham Without; from 100m north east from the junction with B3141 Church Road to 870m west from the junction with Baldwins Lane, a distance of 1530m.
SM11 -A38 Bristol Road in the parish of East Brent; from 90m south west from the junction with Chapel Farm Approach to 850m north east from the junction with Chapel Farm Approach, a distance of 940m.
SM12 - Latches Lane, Hill Lane and Nyland Drove in the parish of Cheddar, Nyland Drove, junction with Brook Bank to Latches Lane, junction with the A371 Draycott Road, a distance of 3870m.
SM13 - A39 Bath Road in the parish of Bawdrip; from the junction with New Road to the junction with the B3141 Woolavington Hill, a distance of 970m.
SM14 - Road from Dancing Hill through Woolmersdon in the parish of North Petherton; from the junction with Dancing Hill to 600m from the junction with Dancing Hill, a distance of 600m.
SM15 - A38 Taunton Road in the parish of North Petherton; 150m north from the A38 Huntworth roundabout to the junction with the A38 Showground roundabout, a distance of 812m.
SM16 - A372 Main Road, Fore Street and Westonzoyland Road in the parish of Westonzoyland; from the junction with Southview Road to 100m north west from the junction with Hamrod Lane, a distance of 900m.
SM17 - B3140 Burton Road and Brent Road in the parish of Brent Knoll; from the junction with the B3140 Station Road to 15m west from the junction with the A370 Bridgwater Road, a distance of 2510m.
SM18 - Broomfield Hall Road in the parish of Broomfield; from the junction with Rookscastle Road to the junction with Enmore Road, a distance of 2210m.
SM19 - Park Lane and Road through Goathurst in the parish of Goathurst; from the Road through Goathurst, 170m west from the junction with Halswell Park to 210m west from the junction with Huntstile Farm Approach, a distance of 1260m.
SM20 - Cuckolds Row, Cockolds Road Cuckolds Lane in the parish of Spaxton; Cuckolds Row, junction with Radlet Road to Cuckolds Lane, junction with theA39 Cannington Road, a distance of 2471m.
SM21 - Manor Road in the parish of East Brent; from the junction with the A370 Weston Road (Southern Leg) to the junction with the A370 Weston Road (Northern Leg), a distance of 155m.
SM22 - Northbrook Road and Buscott Lane in the parishes of Shapwick and Ashcott; from Buscott Lane, junction with Station Road to Northbrook Road, junction with Station Road, a distance of 3464m.
SM23 - Broadway in the parish of Chilton Polden; from the junction with Scotts Lane to 60m east from the junction with Chapel Close, a distance of 1700m. This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out phased preparation works and surface dressing works in this road.
The Order becomes effective on 22nd September 2020 and will remain in force for eighteen months. These closures are to be part of phased works and are expected to commence on the 30th September 2020.
