The Electricity Works (Miscellaneous Temporary Modifications) (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Regulations 2020
Notice is hereby given that Energy Isles Shetland Limited, company registration number 12044893 with its Registered Office at 41 Moorgate, London, United Kingdom, EC2R 6PP has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Energy Isles Wind Farm, Yell, Shetland Islands (Central Grid Reference 450134,1201392). The application also requests that a direction be made by the Scottish Ministers granting planning permission under section 57 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997. The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be over 50MW comprising up to 23 turbines, 9 of which would have a maximum ground to blade tip height of 180 metres and 14 of which would have a maximum ground to blade tip height of 200 metres. The proposed generating station and ancillary development has been subject to Environmental Impact Assessment. An EIA Report has been produced to accompany the application for consent.
Energy Isles Shetland Limited has now submitted Additional Information to Scottish Ministers relating to Energy Isles Wind Farm.

Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals), full return email and postal address of those making

All representations should be received not later than 12 October 2020, although Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
Any subsequent information which is submitted by the developer under the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.
As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, Scottish Ministers can also cause a Public Local Inquiry (PLI) to be held.
Following examination of the environmental information, Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in two ways:
