Ambitions Academy Trust proposes to:

- Expand Longspee Academy by up to 59 places by:
- Adding 5 places at the main Learoyd Road site; and
- Opening a new satellite unit at the Bournemouth Learning Centre with up to 54 places to meet the needs of children with a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) / Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) / complex needs.
- Expand the age range of the school from its current Year 1 - Year 9 to Reception to Year 11.

Ambitions Academy Trust intends to make prescribed alterations to Longspee Academy's main site at Learoyd Road, Poole, BH17 8PJ and at a new satellite site at the Bournemouth Learning Centre, Ensbury Avenue, Bournemouth, BH10 4HG. Longspee Academy is a special school for children aged 5-14 that has permanent capacity, excluding the additional places contained within this notice, of 45 pupil places. It is proposed to add up to 59 additional places for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan on a permanent basis, during 2021.
