(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A409 HEATHBOURNE ROAD, BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A409 Heathbourne Road, Bushey Heath from a point 225m south west of its junction with Clay Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”).


An alternative route will be via A409 Heathbourne Road, Clay Lane, A411 Elstree Road, A4140 High Road and A409 (Magpie Hall Road/Heathbourne Road). The Order is needed because foul sewer connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.


If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION APPROACH, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Approach, Chorleywood from a point 141m south east of its junction with Shire Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.


An alternative route will be via Station Approach, Green Street, A404 (Amersham Road/ Chenies Road/London Road), Common Road and Station Approach. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.


If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SOUTH ROAD, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of South Road, Chorleywood from a point 27m north east of its junction with Hillside Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”), except for access.


An alternative route will be via South Road, Hillside Road, Shire Lane, Lower Road and South Road.


The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.


If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERRY LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER NO.2 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Common Gate Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”).


An alternative route will be via Common Gate Road, Chorleywood Bottom, Hubbards Road, Furze View, Rendlesham Way, Stag Lane and Berry Lane. The Order is needed because electrical works are proposed to be executed near the Road.


If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SILK MILL ROAD, OXHEY HALL) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Silk Mill Road, Oxhey Hall from its junction with A4125 Eastbury Road north westwards to its junction with Brookside Road (“the Road”), a distance of approximately 73m, except for access. An alternative route will be via A4125 Eastbury Road, Colne Avenue, Riverside Road and Silk Mill Road.


The Order is needed because water main connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE TURNSTONES, WATFORD) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Turnstones, Watford from its junction with The Gossamers eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with York Way (“the Road”), a distance of approximately 168m.


An alternative route will be via The Gossamers and York Way. The Order is needed because drainage diversion works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.


The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A412 ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD AND THE NORTH WESTERN AVENUE BUS LINK ROAD, WOODSIDE) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-


1. that length of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with the A412 southbound slip road leading onto the A411 Beechen Grove roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 348m.


An alternative route will be via the A412 southbound slip road leading onto the A411 Beechen Grove roundabout, the A411 Beechen Grove roundabout and the A412 southbound slip road leading onto the southbound carriageway of A412 St Albans Road.

or via the A412 northbound slip road leading onto the A411 Beechen Grove roundabout, the A411 Beechen Grove roundabout and the A412 northbound slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway of A412 St Albans Road.


2. the North Western Avenue bus link road, Woodside from its junction with North Western Avenue north westwards to its junction with the A405 North Orbital Road/ High Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 113m.


An alternative route will be via North Western Avenue, Ashfields, High Road and the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout.


The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.


The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH FRONTING NOS.29-41 PENSCROFT GARDENS, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath fronting Nos.29-41 Penscroft Gardens, Borehamwood from its junction with Penscroft Gardens eastwards to its junction with Buckingham Road (“the Footpath”), a distance of approximately 58m.


An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Penscroft Gardens, the footway situated on the east side of Norfolk Gardens and the footway situated on the north and west sides of Buckingham Road.


The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 September 2020 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.998-1024 ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.998-1024 St Albans Road, Watford from its northernmost junction with A412 St Albans Road eastwards, southwards and westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.


There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.


The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.


The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
