Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A13 Trunk Road in the Unitary Authority of Thurrock, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the phased overnight closure, at Mar Dyke Interchange (M25 Junction 30), of:-

c) the road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A13.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge repair work including waterproofing, joints works, kerb laying, verge works, resurfacing, and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 7 weeks starting on or after Saturday 26th September 2020. The overnight closures would take place between the following hours (maximum period);

Friday 23:00-06:00
Saturday 21:00 -10:00
Sunday 22:30 -05:30
The Order would come into force on 24 September 2020 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closure in a) above would be directed to leave the carriageway and re-join after the junction. Motorway-class traffic affected by the closure in b) above would be diverted anti-clockwise on the M25 to Junction 29 (A127) and return, non-motorway traffic would be held and escorted through the works. Traffic affected by the closure in c) above would be diverted London-bound on the A13 to Wennington Interchange (A1306) and return. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
