Temporary Closure of Church Street, Beaminster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHURCH STREET, BEAMINSTER from its junction with Tower Hill for a distance of approximately 30 metres in a westerly direction. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 7 September 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15 September 2020. This Order will enable Western Power Distribution, safe access to excavations to underground overhead service cables.
An alternative route will be signed using: Shadrack Street - A3066- Church Street

Temporary Closure of Bridport Market -Downes Street, Bridport
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BRIDPORT MARKET- DOWNES STREET, BRIDPORT for its entirety. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 September 2020 on Saturdays only between 0700 and 1700 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary. This Order will enable Dorset Council to allow Bridport Town Council to safely facilitate stalls for Bridport Market whilst ensuring social distancing measures can be maintained.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of East Street, Bridport- Bridport Market
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 September 2020 on Saturdays only between 0700 and 1700 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to allow Bridport Town Council to safely facilitate the Bridport Market whilst ensuring social distancing measures can be maintained.
The effect of this Notice is as follows;
[1] To suspend the taxi rank bay between Scrivens Opticians and Hays Travel, the length of approximately 3 cars.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014, (Amendment Order No., 201') Various Roads, Lyme Regis - Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting at Any Time and introduce Resident Parking.
Dorset Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) to (3), 32,122 and 124(1)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of Part IV of Schedule 1 of the Act of 1984 and of Regulation 21 of Part IV of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations. The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at anytime, resident permit parking and waiting limited to one hour return prohibited within one hour on the following roads in Lyme Regis:
- South Avenue
- Bay View Road
- North Avenue
- Anning Road

Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
