Isle of Wight Council Further report of Local Government Ombudsman on complaint of injustice
Further report of Local Government Ombudsman on complaint of injustice
The Local Government Ombudsman issued a report on 2 October 2014 following investigation of a complaint against Isle of Wight Council. The complaint was about a housing matter. The Ombudsman found that there had been a fault on the part of the Council, and this had caused injustice to the complainant. Because injustice was found, the Isle of Wight Council had to consider the report and tell the Ombudsman what action it was taking. The Ombudsman is not satisfied with the response of the Isle of Wight Council and has therefore issued a further report. The Council must now consider the further report and tell the Ombudsman within three months (or such longer period as he may agree) what action it has taken or proposes to take on it. Copies of the report will be available for public inspection during normal office hours at Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD and on the council's website www.iwight.com/lgoreportforthreeweeks starting on 17 October 2014. Anyone is entitled to take copies of the report or extracts from it. Copies will be supplied at a reasonable charge.
