BRIGHTON & HOVE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) (SYDNEY STREET AND GARDNER STREET) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2020 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.1 2020 (TRO-12A-2020)
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") made the above named experimental Order on the 12th August 2020 under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which comes into force on 21st August 2020 for a period not exceeding eighteen months. This order is a modification of the existing Brighton & Hove (Prohibition of Driving) (Sydney Street and Gardner Street) Experimental Order 2020 and the effect of the Order will be as follows:-
Amend the current experimental prohibition in Gardner Street to allow Blue Badge Holders Monday to Friday It would also amend the start time of the restriction on Monday to Friday to 11am to 7pm. Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays the road would be closed to all motor traffic between 11am and 7pm. A copy of the experimental Order as made, the original experimental order, a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be seen

The Council will be considering in due course whetherthe provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to such indefinite continuation of the provisions may within a period of six months from 21st August 2020, (or if this Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Act, six months from the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force) object in writing stating the grounds on which that objection is being made. Objections should be sent to the Executive Director Economy, Environment & Culture, Brighton & Hove City Council Parking Infrastructure,

or online (see details above) no later than 21st February 2021. In all cases the reference TRO-12a-2020 should be quoted.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the experimental Order or of any of its provisions
on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the
Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
