Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No 12, Osmington


DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 12, from grid reference SY 7354 8174 to grid reference SY 7354 8166, a distance of approximately 95 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users.
It will come into operation on the 19 August 2020, for a period of 26 weeks as approved by Secretary of State.
The order is required due to the path being unsafe due to a land slip.
On this occasion there will be no alternative route.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No 4, Chickerell


DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 4, from grid reference SY 646 810 to grid reference SY 654 810, a distance of approximately 90 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 19 August 2020, for a period of 26 weeks as approved by Secretary of State.
The order is required due to the path being unsafe due to a land slip.
There will be a locally signed diversion in place.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, A350 Bournemouth Road, Charlton Marshall


DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. The Order comes in to operation on 5th September 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11th September 2020.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this order is to impose a temporary 10 mph speed limit to facilitate convoy working upon the Bournemouth Road, Charlton Marshall from Badger Roundabout to a point 200 metres to the south of the junction with Meadow Road, an overall distance of approximately 2670 metres. Clearways, indicated by signs on site, will be imposed on each road to prevent waiting or parking on the highway or verge in these locations. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Management Order Horton Road, Three Legged Cross


DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 September 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 19 September 2020.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this notice is to impose a temporary 10 mph speed limit to facilitate convoy working along C2 Horton Road, Three Legged Cross, between the junction with Slough Lane to the junction with West Moors Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2760 metres.  Clearways, indicated by signs on site, will be imposed on each road to prevent waiting or parking on the highway or verge in these locations. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure of Bere Heath Road, Bere Regis


DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along part of BERE HEATH ROAD, BERE REGIS (in both directions), between its junctions with the C79 (crossroads) and Dormer Cott Woodlands, Hyde, a distance of approximately 2,750 metres. The Order is needed to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on Monday 17 August 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 28 August 2020.
This Order will allow KN Services, agents for BT Openreach, safe access to their underground and overhead network for duct clearing and cabling works.
Alternative vehicular routes will be signed using the local road network to allow vehicles to get around the closure.
