TEDDINGTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE - T -EXTENSION, HIGH STREET, TEDDINGTON AND UDNEY PARK ROAD, TEDDINGTON

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 5 August 2020 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation  Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Teddington Parking Places Order is to extend the Teddington Controlled Parking Zone to include lengths of High Street, Teddington and Udney Park Road, Teddington. The zone will operate between 8.30am and 10.30am on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order is to introduce waiting restrictions in various lengths of the roads within the zone operating at any time and between 8.30am and 10.30am on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

4. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking places where only vehicles which display a valid resident's permit, a valid business permit, a residents' visitor permit, a multi-zone business permit or an operational permit may park during the controlled hours.

5. The sole purpose of the Orders is to replicate and continue in forxe indefinitely the provisions of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Teddington) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2019 and The London of Richmond upon Thames (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Civil Enforcement Area) (No. 2) Experimental Order 2019

6. Copies of the Orders which come into force on 11 August 2020, a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders: -

(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 19/018, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/ public_notices.

7. If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

STRAWBERRY HILL CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE - SH

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 5 August 2020 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Strawberry Hill Parking Places Order is to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone in the Strawberry Hill area in lengths of Callington Mews, Golf Side, Grange Avenue, Grove Road, Hampton Road, Jordans Mews, Popes Avenue, Preston Close, Queen Annes Close, Shaftsbury Way, South Road, Spencer Road, Stanley Road, The Green, Vicarage Road, Walpole Gardens, Walpole Road, Wellesley Crescent and Wellesley Road. The zone will operate between 10am and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

3. The general effect of the Parking Places Supplementary Provisions Permits Order is to set the charges for parking permits as described in Schedule 1 to this Notice

4. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order is to introduce waiting restrictions in various lengths of the roads within the zone operating at any time and between 10am and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

5. The general effect of the On-Street Parking Places Order is to set the tariffs of the pay and display bays in the zone, as detailed in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

6. The general effect of the Restricted Parking Zone Order will be to introduce a restricted parking zone in the access road to Gifford Lodge and 27 Pope's Avenue, the effect being that waiting and loading is prohibited at all times between the eastern kerb-line and the gates to Gifford Lodge and 27 Pope's Avenue.

7. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking places where only vehicles which display a valid resident's permit, a valid business permit, a residents' visitor permit, a multi-zone business permit or an operational permit may park during the controlled hours.

8. The charges for resident, business and multi-zone business parking permits are given in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

9. The sole purpose of these Orders is to replicate and continue in force indefinitely the provisions of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Strawberry Hill) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2019, The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Parking Places) (Supplementary Provisions) (Permits) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2019, The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Civil Enforcement Area) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2019, The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (On-Street Parking Places) (Parking Charges) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2019 and The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Restricted Parking Zone) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2019

Notes to Schedule 2:
1 Residents who take advantage of the 30 minute free parking concessions (other than those using the telephone system) must obtain a ticket from a machine and display it. For stays of longer than 30 minutes in the same place, residents must pay for the whole of the parking period, as if the concession did not exist.

2 Residents may obtain more than one free parking concession on the same day, but no sooner than 1 hour after the start of any previous period of free parking.
