Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has received two planning applications from Magnox Limited for
1. Continued importation of packaged Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) without compliance with condition 02 (Initial Cessation Date) of planning permission ESS/14/16/MAL that was for the importation of packaged ILW from Magnox sites Sizewell “A” and Dungeness “A” to Bradwell Power Station and the interim storage within the existing Interim Storage Facility (ISF) to allow importation until 31st December 2023, which is the end date controlled by condition 05 (Secondary Cessation Date & ILW Limit) of planning permission ESS/14/16/MAL – ESS/86/20/MAL
2. (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following length of Footpath 3, 4 & 5, Cold
Norton and Footpath 11 & 13, Purleigh in the District of Maldon:
Road Description
Footpath 11, Purleigh/ Footpath 4 and 5, Cold Norton
From Footpath 11, Purleigh’s junction with Flambird’s Chase in a southerly direction to Footpath 5, Cold Norton’s connection with Footpath 4, Stow Maries. Including the entire length of Footpath 4, Cold Norton.
Footpath 3, Cold Norton/Footpath 13, Purleigh
From Footpath 3, Cold Norton’s junction with Flambird’s Chase in an easterly direction to Footpath 13’s junction with Hackman’s Lane
The alternative route for the above footpath closures will be via Flambird’s Chase, Footpath 3, Cold Norton, Bridleway 7, Cold Norton, Footpath 3, Stow Maries, Footpath 4, Stow Maries, The Street, Footpath 7, Stow Maries, Footpath 8, Cold Norton, Footpath 14, Purleigh and vice versa.
The temporary closures are scheduled to commence on 19/08/2020, 05/09/2020 and 06/09/2020, 19/09/2020 and 20/09/2020, 03/10/2020 and 04/10/2020 between the hours of 10am and 5pm or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and are required for the safety of the public while the Fly-in and Air Display at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is underway.
The Orders will come into effect on 19/08/2020 and may continue in force 6 months or until the events have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area)
(Amendment No.6) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 previously advertised as The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Amendment No.35) Order 201*.
Effect of the order: To revoke ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions on the east side of Station Road, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 4.2 metres south east from the point in line with the southern kerb line of Alexandra Road, south east for a distance of approximately 10.7 metres to allow for the installation of a Zebra Crossing and associated zig zags markings.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting tile number TQ945 962 revision 0 to revision 1.

The Order will come into operation on 31 August 2020.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Wash Lane, Goldhanger) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wash Lane, Goldhanger in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 270m south of its junction with Blind Lane for a distance of approximately 470m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th August 2020 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034842045 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Blind Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Conduit Lane, Woodham Mortimer)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Conduit Lane, Woodham Mortimer in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Maldon Road to its junction with Little Meadows, a distance of approximately 205m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005KL1W000000085524DNO – BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable transfer works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Conduit Lane, Post Office Road, Maldon Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Green Lane, Burnham-on-Crouch)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Green Lane, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 40m southeast of its junction with Mangapp Chase for a distance of approximately 45m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2020 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000946568 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Church Road, Southminster Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Park Wood Lane, Little Totham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Wood Lane, Little Totham in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Office Lane to its junction with School Road, a distance of approximately 655m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2020 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W00000WBKCJ82D0A – BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cable works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Office Lane, Plains Road, The Street, School Road, The Green and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(School Road & Beckingham Street, Little Totham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of School Road, Little Totham in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Park Wood Lane for a distance of approximately 380m in a southerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Beckingham Street in the District of Maldon, from its junction with School Road for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2020 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W00000WBKCJ82D0B – BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while access to overhead cable works is undertaken by BT.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
