Notice is hereby given that Community Windpower Limited (company registration number 04588923), with its Registered Office at Godscroft Lane, Frodsham, Cheshire WA6 6XU has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Sanquhar II Community Wind Farm at Sanquhar, within Dumfries and Galloway Council local authority area (Central Grid Reference 268554, 603493). The application also requests that a direction be made by the Scottish Ministers under section 57 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997. The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be over 50MW comprising up to 44 wind turbines with a maximum ground to blade tip height of between 149 and 200 metres and has been subject to Environmental Impact Assessment. An EIA Report and Additional Information has been produced to accompany the application for consent.

Community Windpower Limited has now submitted Additional Information to Scottish Ministers, which includes information relating to the removal of six wind turbines and associated infrastructure, removal of one borrow pit, the removal of one construction compound, addition of a satellite substation and increasing the planning permission to 40 years from when the turbines are fully installed and commissioned. As well as Landscape and Visual Updates, the Additional Information contains Ornithology, Ecology, traffic and transport information updates, Aviation and night-time lighting mitigation, matters relating to Peat Management and Peat Slide Risk, clarification of Private Water Supply information and an update to the community benefit commitment.

All representations should be received not later than 7th September 2020 although Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the developer will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, Scottish Ministers can also cause a Public Local Inquiry (PLI) to be held.

Following examination of the environmental information, Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in two ways:

? Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or



? Reject the proposal



All previous representations received in relation to application documents submitted regarding this development remain valid.
