(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SWANLAND ROAD, SOUTH MIMMS/NORTH MYMMS) ORDER 2020
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Swanland Road, South Mimms/North Mymms from its junction with the St Albans Road roundabout north eastwards, north westwards, northwards and north westwards to its junction with Dixons Hill Road (“the Road”), a distance of approximately 4398m, except for access.
An alternative non-motorway route will be via St Albans Road, Bignells Corner, A1081 St Albans Road, Dancers Hill Road, A1000 (Barnet Road/High Street/Hatfield Road/Great North Road) and Dixons Hill Road
An alternative motorway route will be via St Albans Road, Bignells Corner, M25, A111 Southgate Road, A1000 (High Street/Hatfield Road/Great North Road) and Dixons Hill Road.
The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 August 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF NO.102 BLANCHE LANE AND NOS. 17-20 FROWYKE CRESCENT, SOUTH MIMMS) ORDER 2020
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the north side of No.102 Blanche Lane and Nos.17-20 Frowyke Crescent, South Mimms from its junction with Blanche Lane south westwards and southwards to its junction with Frowyke Crescent (“the Footpath”), a distance of approximately 107m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos. 96-102 Blanche Lane, the footway situated on the west side of Blanche Lane and the footway situated on the north and east sides of Frowyke Crescent.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 August 2020 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.
