Temporary Closure of Friar Waddon Lane, Friar Waddon
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FRIAR WADDON LANE, FRIAR WADDON between Friar Waddon House and its junction to Corton, a distance of approximately 310 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 September 2020. This Order will enable National Grid Company, safe access to lay 12 ducts across Friar Waddon Lane and create bell mouth for temporary access. An alternative route will be signed using: Goulds Hill - B3159 - Blagdon Hill -Portesham Hill - Winters Lane.

Temporary Closure of Holt Road, Three Legged Cross
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Holt Road, Three Legged Cross from Mannington Substation to the junction with Horton Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 410 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 3 August 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 August 2020. This Order will enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution, safe access to excavate the highway and lay duct to install two new 132kV High Voltage Cable circuits.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

Temporary Parking Restriction Various Streets, Wimborne
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this Notice is as follows: parking will be suspended between 2 East Street to 9 East Street and between 8 High Street to 18 High Street. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to pedestrians and highway users. It will come into operation on 20 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the restrictions will be lifted once there is no longer a need for social distancing. This Order will enable the footway to be widened by using pedestrian barriers to ensure social distancing measures can be maintained outside shops in Wimborne.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014 (as amended), (Amendment Order No. 2, 2020) Mellstock Avenue and Weatherbury Way, Dorchester - Prohibition of Waiting
Dorset Council has made an Amendment Order to 'The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.
When the order comes into operation on 24 July 2020 the effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time on specified lengths of Mellstock Avenue and WeatherburyWay,Dorchester.
Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for thatpurpose.
