Canal and River Trust has applied to the Environment

Agency for a licence to abstract water

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application

in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act

1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction

(Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The application is for a licence to abstract (take) water from

Stacks Pool at National Grid Reference SO 83398 77847 to

transfer it to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at

National Grid Reference SO 83364 77865 without

intervening use

Abstraction will take place all year

The application is for a transfer licence for the purpose of

maintaining navigation
