Proposed development on land at Canal Road in Bradford. Notice is that Canal Road Urban Village Limited is applying to Bradford Metropolitan District Council for: full planning permission for the demolition of existing buildings and principal means of access from Canal Road; and outline planning permission (with all matters reserved except for means of access) for a residential-led mixed-use development comprising residential (use class C3), a new local centre (use classes A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5), retirement (use class C2), primary school (use class D1), crèche / nursery (use class D1), health centre (use class D1), leisure uses (use class D2), petrol station and car showroom (sui generis), a new 3G sports pitch, and associated open space and infrastructure. Any owner* of the land or tenant** who wishes to make representations about this application should write to the Council at Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Development Services, 1st Floor, Jacob's Well, Manchester Road, Bradford, BD1 5RW by 8 December 2014. “owner” means a person having a freehold interest or a leasehold interest the unexpired term of which is not less than seven years, or, in the case of development consisting of the winning or working of minerals, a person entitled to an interest in a mineral in the land (other than oil, gas, coal, gold, or silver). “Tenant” means a tenant of an agricultural holding any part of which is comprises in the land.
