ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A205 GLA ROAD AND SIDE ROAD (UPPER RICHMOND ROAD WEST AND SHEEN LANE, LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND STOPPING) ORDER 2020
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic social distancing measures have been introduced on or near the A205 Upper Richmond Road West and Sheen Lane.

3. The effect of the Order will be to:

(1) close the service road fronting Nos. 137 to 141 and Parkway House, Sheen Lane to all vehicles between its junctions with the A205 Upper Richmond Road West and Sheen Lane. The loading, unloading and disabled persons 'vehicles bay outside Nos 139 to 141 and Parkway House Sheen Lane is unavailable for use;

(2) introduce a 12.5 metre Monday to Saturday 7 AM to 7 PM 20 minute loading and unloading and disabled persons vehicles'

3 hours bay on Sheen Lane across the exit of the service road fronting Nos. 137 to 141 and Parkway House, Sheen Lane;
(3) remove the Monday to Saturday 7 AM to 7 PM 20 minute loading and unloading only bay at the northern side of the A205 Upper Richmond Road West between Nos. 226 and 232 Upper Richmond Road West, replacing it with double red lines (no stopping at any time).

The Order will be effective at certain times from 12:01 AM on the 3rd July 2020 until 11:59 PM on the 8th December 2021 or when social distancing is not required whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of for the purposes of those restrictions or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
