THE MAYOR AND BURGESSES OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD
TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Enfield (the "Council") hereby give notice that they intend to make an Order under Sections 247, 253 and 259 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended by Schedule 22 to the Greater London Authority Act 1999) ("the Act") to authorise the stopping up of highway maintainable at public expense and footpaths as set out in the Schedule.
The Stopping Up of Highways London Borough of Enfield (Nichol Close) (No.1) Order 2020 will be made only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with the planning application approved by the London Borough of Enfield under reference 18/03030/FUL.
A copy of the Order may be inspected during the twenty-eight days commencing from the date of this notice. Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic orders and plans cannot currently be inspected in person. However, in line with guidance from the Department for Transport, the following alterative arrangements have been made:
a) The orders and plans can be inspected online at either:

b) Copies of the made orders and plans can also be obtained by emailing

traffic@enfield.gov.uk

or by writing to Traffic & Transportation, Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD.

Anyone wanting to object to the making of the order should write to Traffic and Transportation Services, London Borough of Enfield, P.O. Box 52, Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD or

transportation@enfield.gov.uk

within 28 days following the date of this notice.
In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any such objection may be imparted to the Applicant and other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector concerning the objection.
It should be noted that in accordance with section 261(4) of the Act, statutory undertakers with apparatus which lies under, in, on, over, along or across any length of highway authorised to be stopped shall have the same rights in relation to that apparatus after the area is stopped up as they had immediately before.
