Temporary Closure of Burton Road, Abbotsbury
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BURTON ROAD, ABBOTSBURY from its junction with Buller's Way for its entirety, a distance of approximately 2000 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 29 June 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. This Order will enable Ilchester Estates to prevent anti-social behaviour, illegal parking and to ensure health and safety of residents and public. The road is now gated and locked with access available to residents, emergency services, local authority and utility companies who will be provided with the information of how to gain access.
On this occasion there will be no alternative route.

Temporary Closure of Unclassified Road Between Long Bredy& Little Bredy
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along UNCLASSIFIED RD BETWEEN LONG BREDY & LITTLE BREDY from its junction with the main road through Long Bredy to Pitcombe Farm, a distance of approximately 1130 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by24July2020.
This Order will enable BT, safe access to underground cabling with potential blockages and excavate to lay duct.

Temporary Closure of Moor Lane, Briantspuddle
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding over a bridge which spans the River Piddle on MOOR LANE, BRIANTSPUDDLE, (in both directions), for a distance of approximately 250 metres. The Order is needed to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on Monday 13th July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 21st August 2020. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out repairs to the headwalls and arch barrels of the bridge, as well as installing scour protection. The road will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the closure period. No night-time or weekend access will be permitted. Pedestrian access will be maintained when it is safe to do so. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable trafficto travel around the closed section of road.
