Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order

Dorset Council (Part of Footpath 34, Powerstock at Powerstock Primary School) Public Path Extinguishment Order 2020
The above order, made on 16 March 2020 under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the full width of part of Footpath 34, Powerstock from its junction with School Hill (C44), south east of Powerstock Primary School at SY 51629614, north west through the school playground to SY 51609615, then north north west through the corner of the school building to SY 51609617 and north west through the school playground to the corner of The Old School House garden boundary at SY 51599619. Continue north west to the corner of The Old School House and north north west along the western edge of The Old School House to SY 51589622, then north east to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 34 at its junction with Bridleway 39 on Pig Lane (D11011) at SY 51599623. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn,the Dorset Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of George Street, West Bay, Bridport (Covid-19 Distance Measures)
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited & restricted from proceeding along GEORGE STREET, WEST BAY, BRIDPORT as indicated by signs on site. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated thatthe restrictions may only be in use until the end of the Summer season 2020.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to implement social distancing measures for pedestrians.
The effect of this Notice is as follows:
[1] To implement a road closure to provide a pedestrian only zone on George Street from its junction with North Side Basin for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.
[2] To suspend the one-way system on George Street from its junction with North Side Basin for a distance of 50 metres in a north east direction to enable temporary two-way system.
[3] To implement a Clearway on George Street between Anchors Aweigh and the access to The Rise.
[4] To implement a Clearway on George Street (Riverside) from its junction with North Side Basin for a distance of 50 metres in a north east direction. Temporary Traffic Management Order of Bridport Market
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be restricted from using Loading & Parking bays except those authorised by the organisers of Bridport Market as indicated by signs on site. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 June 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. This Order will enable Bridport Town Council, safe access to facilitate the Bridport Market on Wednesday's and Saturday's and ensure government advice around social distancing can be implemented.
The following temporary restrictions will be in place every Wednesday and Saturday between 0700 and 1700:
[1] South Street between the bookshop and the launderette, loading bay & disabled parking bay to be restricted.
[2] South Street outside Bridport Library, Permit (C)/restricted one hour parking bay to be restricted.
[3] East Street between The Greyhound and Palmer Snell, parking restrictions & loading bay to be restricted.
