Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Phase 1 A350 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with B4528 Showell to its junction with Corsham Road; Phase 2 A350 (Part), Lacock, Melksham and Melksham Without; from its junction with Cantax Hill to its junction with Avon Road to enable Tarmac to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via A350 (unaffected length) - A365 - B3353 - A4 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 11 May 2020 will now recommence on 29 June 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 30 June 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. from its junction with Southwick Road to its junction with A363 White Horse Business Park to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out the resurfacing of carriageway, footway and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via A363 - A361 - Wynsome Street- Goose Street - Bradley Road - Southwick Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 31 July 2020.
